Abacus Investment Management Ltd is a medium-sized firm of Independent Financial Advisers ( IFA ) and Corporate Planners. We are proud to be directly authorised and regulated by the FSA with "fully independent status". We are based in Brierley Hill, in The Black Country, just West of Birmingham, West Midlands, UK.

How we are remunerated
Being professionals, we give accountable, regulated and qualified advice, for which we are entitled to charge, just like an Accountant or Solicitor would. However, unlike them we can also arrange financial products and be paid directly by product providers for introducing business. This is called a marketing allowance or commission; because of this many clients accept this as an alternative to paying us a fee for a particular piece of work.
Some advisory work can only be fee based, and some clients pay us a monthly retainer, however the basis on which we are remunerated would always be agreed at the earliest opportunity.
